Applied the patch submitted with bug #3344 . This fixes PHP5 issues while retaining PHP4 functionality.

Also altered the bb5.5 importer:
Respecting certain "visible" flags. Made the default course properties match the importer capabilities better.
Fixed the resource summaries.
