QA: Store SVGs, not PNGs
...
Different platforms/versions can result in very slight differences
when converting SVGs to PNGs for diffing them.

Remove image-diff from QA
...
Re-enable tests for Ubuntu.
This implements a custom image diff function that checks for image
changes in plotted output.
